Classic victor Study of Man (Ire) (Deep Impact {Jpn})’s next intended start is the G2 Prix Haras du Logis Guillaume d’Ornano at Deauville on Aug. 15, Racing Post reported. A winner of the G1 QIPCO Prix du Jockey Club for the Niarchos family’s Flaxman Holdings at Chantilly on June 3, the Pascal Bary charge won Saint-Cloud’s G2 Prix Greffulhe on May 8, one start prior and was also second in the G3 Prix La Force at ParisLongchamp on Apr. 8.

“The plan is that we’re going for the Guillaume d’Ornano on the 15th [of August] with a view to going to Leopardstown for the Irish Champion S.,” Niarchos racing manager Alan Cooper told Racing Post. “If all goes well we could consider stepping up in trip for the Arc. Pascal wants to take his time before stepping him up and this seems a very sensible route. We’ve given him more time to mature and he’s in good form. It’s a nice bit of downtime before building back up as he’ll have had 10 weeks [from the Jockey Club].”
